Longhorn Vs. Aggies Thanksgiving
Colt’s Last Home Game
Colt McCoy came out fighting today knowing three things were on the line
1. Dignity
2. The Heisman
3. The CBS championship game.
This was Colt McCoy’s Final time playing in Austin for the Longhorns. And saying he was unbelievable is an understatement. He rushed for a career-high 175 yards and a touchdown while he threw for 304 yards and four touchdowns without an interception. But still had to fight to keep ahead of the Aggies… and for that give credit to Aggie quarterback Jerrod Johnson. Who finished with a whooping 439 yards and four touchdowns (More than any quarterback has thrown on them all year)
This #1 ranked Longhorn Defense Could Not Stop A&M’s Run game at all giving up 532 yards. But Colt McCoy stepped it up and came out on top.
Johnson and his Aggies stayed with the horns in this high scoring game which consisted of 7 touchdowns in the first half!
“This team, to me … they know who they are. They want to be the best team in the country. And they know they have to prove that,” Brown said. “I think they understand what’s at stake here at the end.”
The Longhorns held their breath until late in the 4th things started getting crazy. With big plays every minute consisting of: Marquise Goodwin’s 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown with 7:10 remaining, 65-yard touchdown run, and A&M kicker Randy Bullock missed a 23-yard field goal attempt with 3:21 remaining.
Overall It was an Epic game and both team left it all on the field. I am a devoted Longhorn fan but Johnson Really knows how to play his position!
